I am very happy to announce that I have a new line of wedding stationery for sale. Because these invitations have a different style and feel than my map illustrations, I created a new website and Etsy shop to sell them, under the name Charley Paper Company. (Tip: invitations are less expensive through my website, because I don't have to pay Etsy their 3.5% commission!) I have been working on the invitation line for about four months - designing, finding printers and envelope suppliers, getting samples, photographing everything, and creating the website.
I used to create custom calligraphy invitations via my Etsy shop Megan Lacey Design, but then decided to focus more on maps. I found the maps more enjoyable to make, and more of a unique offering. Eventually, I decided to get back into wedding invitations by making a line of pre-designed stationery suites that incorporate the types of design elements my custom clients kept asking for, like modern calligraphy, hand drawn florals, vintage illustrations, and watercolor. That way, I could still offer wedding invitations for sale, but did not have to go through the tedious and lengthy process of designing everything from scratch.
See the rest of the line here!
